Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy, a half-English and half-Spanish woman, was born April 16, 1996 in Miami Florida. The daughter of Dennis Alan Taylor, a former banking executive and Jennifer Marina Joy, a psychologist, is Anya Taylor-Joy. The father of her mother, who is Argentinan of Scottish as well as English descent is also her mother. Her mother is Spanish and has English roots. Taylor-Joy, who is youngest of five children. Four of them come from her father's previous marriage. After living in Buenos Aires for six years, the family relocated to Victoria. Taylor-Joy explained that the move had been painful, and she refused to pursue a degree in English as she wanted to return to Argentina. Hill House had to be her new school after she switched from Northlands. Then she went to Queen's Gate School and studied ballet. At the age of 16, Taylor-Joy dropped out to focus her full-time acting career. Taylor-Joy's dream to become an actor began at a young, age.
